HMSC proud to sponsor two Junior Festival opportunities each year.  Students studying with teachers who are federated through the National Federation of Music Clubs may participate in both festivals.  This year festival in November features hymns, patriotic/folk songs, and/or duets, while the February event is devoted for solo entries: piano, voice, strings, woodwinds, theory.  Both events are held at First Baptist Church.   Participating students are critiqued on a rating of superior, excellent, satisfactory and needs improvement.  Constructive comments are given by the judges and are sent to teachers for student growth in their study,
