HMSC meets every first Wednesday of each month September through May.  Each meeting features a brief business meeting, a music program and an opportunity for socializing.   Areas of interest and club projects include folk music, opera, sacred music, choral music, string music, dance, American composers, poetry in music, international music, music outreach, music in schools and colleges, Alabama Day, and Parade of American Music.  HMSC's monthly programs are built around these genre.  Membership is by application and the only "requirement" is loving music and wanting to help it flourish in our city and surrounding community.
